Royal Enfield Himalayan Launched; Prices Start at 1.55 Lakh
There is great news for adventure tourer in India as there is an end to their long wait for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Royal Enfield has launched it and offered at the most affordable price. The design of the bike is inspired from the Company’s front runner motorcycle Continental GT.
The Himalayan is indigenous adventure motorcycle of India. It is completely new and elegantly designed from ground up with a new engine, a modified single tube chassis, new sub-frame, signature badge on side cowl, round headlight, high-mounted spatter guard and 21-inch front wheel & 17-inch rear wheels.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by newly designed 4 strokes, single cylinder, 411 cc air cooled engine and delivers 24.5 bhp of power and a peak 32Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The engine is equipped with a counter balancer and runs much smoother.
The Himalayan has two variants: off-road and on-road. The off-road variant has additional features such as a height-adjustable windshield, high-mounted mud flap at the front, jerry cans on both sides and mudguard close to the tyre which is positioned on right.
It is made available at the on-road price of Rs.1.84 lakh in Banglore, Rs. 1.81 lakh in Kolkata, Rs. 1.75 lakh in Chennai, 1.70 lakh in Pune, Rs. 1.78 lakh in Mumbai and ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.55 lakh in Maharashtra.
