Aadhar payment App will make digital transactions easy. The government has launched a new Aadhar Payment App that will make people opposing the digital transaction mum. With this app, plastic cards and point of sale machines will also not be needed that are considered important for the cashless transaction. You can download Aadhaar pay merchant app from play store.

This app is launched on Christmas, 25th December. For using this app one will not have to pay any fee as compared to card service provider companies like Visa and MasterCard requires. With this app, a small businessman in the villages will be able to do digital payment. This will only require an android phone. People will have to download Cashless Merchant App and has to connect their smartphone with a biometric reader. This biometric reader is available in the market for Rs. 2,000.

After Aadhar card payment app downloading, the customers will have to enter their Aadhar number in the app and select the bank through which they wish to do the payment.

The biometric scan will work like a password in this app.

Ajay Bhushan, CEO of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said, this app will be used by a person without phone also. For now, around 40 crore Aadhar numbers are linked with bank accounts. He also added that they want that all Aadhar numbers will be linked with banks till March 2017.

This app has been developed by IDFC bank in collaboration with UIDAI and National Payment Development Corporation of India. This new app was shown to Finance Minister Arun Jetly and Minister of Information Technology, Ravishankar Prasad on 19 December. MD and CEO of IDFC bank, Rajiv Lal said that this app will work on Aadhar which means it will connect more people.

Any person who has Aadhar card can pay to the merchant through this app. Having a credit or debit card or even mobile will have no effect. In India, only 15lakh Point of sale Terminal is working. It has fewer acceptances as the merchant has to pay 2-3 percent charge to the companies. Due to connectivity problem too, card payment has limitations.
