- 1 litre water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 40 neem leaves
Method:
In the previously boiled water add the neem leaves and allow it to stay overnight. Strain the water and use it to wash your hair. The leaves that are left is to be grind in the mixer. In the paste add honey. Now apply this paste on your scalp and hair. Allow it to stay for around 30 minutes. Rinse hair.
You have to do this procedure at least once a week. This mask is very effective and one will notice reduction in dandruff in few days. With this mask, hairs also become frizz free and manageable.
Neem Water
The most easy and effective method is using neem water.
Ingredients:
- 1 litre of water
- 40 neem leaves
Method:
In a boiled water, add neem leaves. Allow it to stay overnight. Use this water to rinse your hair properly.
Use this water at least three to four times a week. Use of this water gives instant relief from itchiness and discomfort.
Neem, Yoghurt and Fenugreek Hair Mask
Fenugreek seeds have antifungal and antibacterial properties like neem leaves. They also give calm and cooling effect. Yoghurt is a natural conditioner and prevent dryness of hair.
Ingredients:
- 40 neem leaves
- 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds
- ½ cup of yoghurt
- 1 cup of lemon juice
Method:
Fenugreek seeds are to be soaked in water for at least three hours. Now in this, add neem leaves. Adding little water make a smooth paste. In this paste add lemon and yoghurt. Oil your hair and apply this mask for an hour and wash off your hairs.
One should use this mask for two times a week.
Neem Oil Therapy
Neem oil is very effective in fighting dandruff. It is prepared from seeds of neem tree. It is to be used after diluting and can be mixed with another oil and shampoos.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup of neem oil
- 1 cup of oil
Method:
Heat coconut oil little and add neem oil into this. For better results, leave the oil overnight and wash it the next morning.
This therapy can be used two or thrice a week.
Neem and Coconut Oil Therapy
Hot oil therapy soothes and relax nerves after massaging. It also improves health and texture of hairs. When neem oil is mixed with coconut oil it becomes even more effective.
Ingredients:
- 20 neem leaves
- 1 cup of coconut oil
- ¼ cup castor oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Method:
In a hot coconut oil add neem leaves and boil both for 15 minutes. When the mixture cools own strain it and add lemon juice and castor oil. You can store this oil in a clean and dry bottle. This oil can be used to massage your hair at least twice a week. Keep this oil in your hair for around onehour and wash your hairs.
Neem has been proved very effective in treating dandruff. Above therapies will surely help you in treating dandruff. However, along with this therapies it is also important to intake balanced diet and keep your hairs and scalp clean. One should also avoid stress, do exercise and drink lots of water.
